Readers, it is by sure happenstance that I came across this marvelous series about a bunch of spunky, sassy best friends who get together every six weeks for a girls weekend.  Once I downloaded A LONG TIME COMIN’ by award-winning author, Cerise DeLand I was hooked.  Okay, so the ebook price (that day of $0.99) did play a major fact, but after reading the book blurb about the girl next door, Caitlyn Hagarty about to take a mammoth step into turning her ‘best buds’ relationship into a full-fledge scorching love affair with hunky Delta Force operative, Ram Ramos I could not help but push everything to the side and become entrenched in a steamy romance for a few hours.

It is all about Cait Hagerty. What do I mean?  Well, DeLand does a wonderful job using dynamic characterization in showing readers the depth of all her characters, especially Cait.  DeLand’s heroine is a living-breathing- three dimensional engaging characters.  I could not help but be drawn to Cait( I am a girl next door), she is a strong independent woman, heart of gold, caring and steadfast personality that has readers cheering her on her seduction of the love of her life.   You, go girl!

What can I say about DeLand’s uber sexy Delta Force hero, Ram Ramos, but, give me, give me some more.  Oh, my, readers get ready to get your engine revved up.  Ram is perfect!  That simple, the man is absolutely breathtaking, sufficiently so, that I wanted more.  Along with being a dark haired Adonis with a killer toned body, Ram has that oh so sensitive side that make a reader fall head first for a stubborn, bone-headed hero.  He is smart, sexy and worth the time readers will spend tucked away from family and friends, drenched in this deliciously rich story.  Oh, it is a guilty pleasure that readers will not feel an ounce of guilt.

Pack in some sexy sex toys, a weekend with one hot hero and a woman about to make all her fantasies come true, I say, count me in.  A LONG TIME IN COMIN' is all about location, location and an energizing plot line with a few twists that will turn readers’ heads.  Deland’s writing is a beautiful mix of stunning precision to imagery; wrapped around highly intense conflict between her sweet spunky heroine and muscular Adonis, hero.
